Contribution to studies of the fish fauna of the River Monday

This study presents the results of an intensive four days fishing campaign in Rio Monday. Cichlidae Characidae, Heptapteridae and Erythrinidae specimens were collected. Cichlidae, Characidae, Heptapteridae, Erythrinidae, listed in descending order of their catches. Individuals in the first two families are of small size but of economic interest to the aquarism; the Heptapteridae and Erythrinidae specimens as mandiisand tareys are also for consumption & sporting.
