The Itay, urban low-flow stream of large basin in the Great Asunción, flows into the San Francisco, a branch of the Paraguay River; in its course it incorporates significant amounts of sediments and abundant waste of various types: municipal, residential, industrial, dairy etc. The work studies the behavior of two main nutrients, nitrogen and phosphorus associated with the records of the seston and to chemical and biochemical demands of oxygen in its waters
