Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of the hydrological model for large basins MGB –IPH, developed in the Instituto de Pesquisas Hidraulicas at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. The chosed basin is that of the Acaray River, a basin with high anthropogenic impact, with the presence of two Dams that difficult the hydrological study. The simulation period was made between 1970 and 1976, so that the Yguazu Dam out put does not affect the measured flow at the Confluencia station, which was used for calibration. In addition, the data quality control ANDESQC was performed for the stations affected during this period, confirming numerous errors in the available records.
