This Project aims to design a process for the production of a floculant agent (Al2(SO4)3), from aluminum scrap. First a handcrafted fusión furnace was made, then taking advantage of the experience acquired, another one, with better working characteristis, was made. Several obtention methods for the aluminim sulphate were tried using: aluminum plates, powder, grains and the melted buttons form the fusión furnace, using electrocoagulation and/or reaction with sulfuric acid. Results were really good and the designed process is promising for escalation.
